Monday Eye Candy: HTML5

12 Dec

My Information Architecture professor was talking about the future of the internet in class tonight, and one of the things we discussed was HTML5. Although it’s not implemented yet, one of its future properties is the ability to draw on the screen and create, as my professor put it, “visual images on the fly.”

This probably isn’t making much sense to you, but the eye candy for today is a) an example of what I’m talking about and b) amazing:

I’d recommend typing the address of SLIS in the box (600 N. Park St., Madison, WI 53706), because it’s super neat to see UW-Madison in the video. If you’re not familiar with SLIS, the address of any landmark would be just as interesting.

Ah internets, you’re so much fun.
